YUSUF'S AND THE PADISAH'S DREAMS AND THE IDENTIFICATION OF MOTIFS IN ÇÂKERÎ'S YUSUF U ZULEYHA MUSNAVI

The dream motif and dream interpretations are important in the religion of Islam. In the story mentioned in Surah Yusuf in the Qur'an, the dream motif and the interpretations of dreams have a special value. In our study, first of all, theoretical information about dream and dream interpretation definitions are given. In addition, the presence of these dreams and their interpretations in the Qur'an's Surah Yusuf and the Torah is indicated. The dreams of Yusuf and the Sultan in the Yusuf u Züleyha Masnavi of Çâkerî, one of the masnavi poets of the 15th century, and the motifs of the dreams are interpreted.

Rüya motifi ve rüyalar tabirleri İslam dininde önemlidir. Kur’ȃn-ı Kerim’de Yusuf Suresi’nde sözü edilen kıssada rüya motifi ve rüyaların tabirlerininse, ayrı bir kıymeti vardır. Çalışmamızda öncelikle rüya ve rüya tabir tanımları ile ilgili teorik bilgiler verilmiştir. Ayrıca bu rüyaların ve yorumlarının, Kur’ȃn-ı Kerim’in Yusuf Suresi ve Tevrat’taki mevcudiyetleri belirtilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, 15. yüzyılın mesnevi şairlerinden biri olan Çâkerî’nin Yûsuf u Züleyhâ Mesnevisi’nde Yusuf’un ve Padişah’ın rüyası ve rüyaların motifleri tabir edilmiştir.
