The Orhun inscription is the first Turkish alphabet known in history by Göktürk. The inscriptions were
written using the Orkhon alphabet, which was the first Turkish alphabet. The inscriptions are found in the
Orkhon Valley of Mongolia. Orkhon Inscriptions are known as six in total, but the most well-known ones
are Kul Tigin Inscription, Bilge Kagan Inscription and Tonyukuk Inscription. There is a bond of
brotherhood between Bilge Kagan and Kul Tigin, and their nephew Yollig Tigin had the inscription
written by them. It is accepted as an example of an enthusiastic, impressive and convincing speech that
illuminates the Turkish history of the period, the struggle for freedom and independence, raises the
awareness of the khan people, and reveals the good and the bad. It provides information in terms of Turkish
culture, history and education. In the inscriptions, it was stated that the Turks should be careful against
the tricks and deceptions of their enemies. They also wrote that they should be individuals who have a
leader, are hardworking and always protect their state and their khan. The Orkhon Inscriptions are among
the first written documents of great importance for the Turks.
