A POET ACCORDING TO THE POET OF TAŞLICALI YAHYÂ BEY'S DIVIS
ABSTRACT
Although Ottoman poets did not write independent poetics about their poems in today's sense, this does not
mean that they did not say anything about this subject. When their divans, masnavis, and related parts of some
of their other works are examined, much information can be obtained about their views and thoughts on poetry
and poets. In this study, the preamble of Taşlıcalı Yahyâ Bey's Turkish divan and his poems in the divan were
examined, and his views and thoughts about "poet" and his poetry were attempted to be determined.
