A LOOK AT ŞÜKRÜ RAMO'S POEMS IN TOMURCUK MAGAZINE IN TERMS OF VALUES EDUCATION

ABSTRACT

Tomurcuk magazine has an important place in Macedonian Turkish children's literature. Tomurcuk magazine started its publication life in September 1957 and continued until 2004. The main purpose of the journal is to contribute to children in terms of education and training. There are different types of texts in the magazine, which appeal to primary school children. The content is in line with the school curriculum. The cartoons, pictures, drawings and patterns that take into consideration the developmental stages are arranged in order to attract the attention of children. Poetry is the most encountered literary genre in the magazine. In addition to this, it is possible to come across genres such as stories, comics, theatre, essays, riddles-puzzles and anecdotes. Poems written by teachers and students occupy an important place in the magazine. Moreover, there are also poems of poets such as Şükrü Ramo, Nusret Diso Ülkü, İlhami Emin, Necati Zekeriya, Fahri Kaya, Avni Engüllü, Hasan Mercan, Fahri Ali, Cahit Külebi, Nazım Hikmet, Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı, Tevfik Fikret, Orhan Veli Kanık, Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca. In this research, Şükrü Ramo's poems will be examined in terms of its’ values in education.
