Özlem Kurt is an assistant professor in the area of learning foreign languages and language methodology. She was born in Radovish, North Macedonia. She teaches in the first cycles of studies within the Faculty of Education. She has completed her bachelor's degree at “St.Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, North Macedonia. She received a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences from the Gazi University, Graduated School of Education, Ankara, Türkiye, and a Master of Turkish Language and Literature from Trakya University, Edirne, Türkiye. Her current research interests include teaching Turkish as a mother and foreign language, second language teaching, interactive listening in language teaching, translanguaging, taxonomy in teaching, and teaching Turkish to students with learning difficulties. She has published her scientific book İlhami Emin’in Hayatı Eserleri ve Edebî Kişiliği, book chapters in the field of Teaching Turkish as a foreign language, the literary book Menzile Koşan Süvariler and she has several international conference contributions. In addition to her scientific studies, she has also written literary and column articles for various magazines and newspapers.
